A Russian silver gilt and enamel double opening snuffbox made by Antip Kuzmichev, Moscow, late 19th century. Rectangular with rounded ends, the top with translucent blue guilloche enamel lobes over engraved flowers within scrolling strapwork, surrounded by champleve borders, the sides and base of cloisonne enamel on stippled grounds. The interior compartments opening at the hinged ends. Size: 2 7/8” x 1 3/4” (7.3 x 4.4 cm).
