An Imperial Russian Porcelain Factory footed bowl from the Mikhailovsky Palace Service, Nicholas I period, circa 1830. A scalloped gilt outer rim and border of gilt scroll and draped foliate designs encircle the Imperial Russian Eagle holding colored ribbons and the badges of the Orders of St. Vladimir 1st class and St. George 2nd class. Above the eagle is the motto “For Service and Bravery”. The Mikhailovsky Palace was designed by Carlo Rossi and built in 1819-25 for Grand Duke Mikhail Pavlovich. It is now the Russian Museum in ST Petersburg. Dimensions: 4 3/8" H x 12" D (11.1 x 30.5 cm).
