A Russian silver gilt and cloisonné enamel kovsh, maker’s marks unclear, possibly Michael Goloshchapov, Moscow, 1908-1917. Of traditional form with raised prow and lobed body, the kovsh completely worked in vibrant multi-color stylized scroll and floral motifs with geometric accents, the hook-shape handle banded by a row of turquoise enamel beads similarly decorated. Length: 7 3/4" (19.7 cm).
Price $28,500.
