A Russian gold and gem-set Imperial Presentation brooch, maker's mark A.K, ST Petersburg, 1908-1917. The initials "MA" contained in a scrolling wire frame circling three round cabochon sapphires and surmounted buy the Imperial crown set with two oval cabochon sapphires. The monogram most probably those of Maria Alexandrovna. Dimensions: 1" x 1 1/4" (2.54 x 3.2 cm).
