An Imperial Porcelain Factory plate, Nicholas I period (1825-1855). The shaped gilt rim is decorated with a wide band of stylized scrolling palmate designs which surround a finely painted crowned black Imperial double-headed eagle holding an orb and scepter with a St. George shield emblazoned across its chest.
