A Faberge silver gilt frame, Hjalmar Armfelt, ST Petrsburg, circa 1908-18. The rectangular frame with cut corners and domed surmount enameled in a translucent red enamel over an engine turned ground within a raised bead border. Applied with silver gilt ribbon-tied laurel wreaths and swags, the lower corners with gilt rosettes; ivory back and gilt scroll strut. 88 silver standard and scratched inventory number 21534. Dimensions: 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" (11.4 x 11.4 cm).
