A magnificent and exceptionly rare Russian silver gilt and shaded champleve enamel tea caddy by Ivan Khlebnikov, Moscow, 1896-1908. The six, cylindrical lobed sides beautifully decorated in various alternating multi-color scrolling floral and foliate motifs against a matte gilt ground, the double-domed lid similarly worked with floral designs and paisley motifs between stylized pineapples. Dimensions: 7" H x 4 1/8" D (17.8 x 10.5 cm).
