A Faberge gold and guilloche enamel frame, Michael Perchin, ST Petersburg, late 19th century. Of rectangular form on domed gadrooned feet, enameled in translucent red enamel over a geometric engine-turned ground, applied pink gold rosettes alternating with laurel branches over contrasting corners around the raised bead and dash oval aperture, surmounted by a pink gold bow-knot. Ivory back plate and A-frame strut. Dimensions: 3 7/8" x 3" (9.8 x 7.6 cm)
