An exceptional Fabergé brooch crafted in gold and set with diamonds and rubies by head workmaster Henrik Wigström, St. Petersburg, circa 1908–1917. The scrolling design centers a historic 1756 gold 2-ruble coin from the reign of Empress Elizabeth, framed by fine ruby and diamond accents. The front is finished in elegant white opaque enamel, contrasting with the exposed gold reverse. The clasp bears the 56 Russian gold standard (14k) and Wigström’s maker’s marks.
